Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Our Client has over 30 years of experience in the design of building services and understands all the factors that affect the design process and we consider the building environment from feasibility, through design and construction to completion.
Our clients teams consists of mechanical, electrical and public health design engineers who have vast experience with a mix of old wisdom and new ideas, coupled with their hands-on management style to produce a functional, innovative solution that is implemented smoothly and effectively.
Our client is looking for Senior Electrical Design Engineer., have experience with design and installation of building services for a range of premises, particularly offices, warehousing and retail. Experience in hospital work would be of benefit.
In addition to being conversant with designing lighting, power, LV systems etc they should be able to undertake the design of security and fire detection installations. Knowledge of HV systems would be an advantage.
The candidate should be familiar with current codes of practice and standards and be able to prepare specifications for both full design and performance commissions.
There will be a requirement for the successful applicant to carry out condition surveys of existing installations and to then prepare and present refurbishment proposals to the Client. In this they should have a working knowledge of the requirements of mechanical and public health services in buildings
The person, who will be working within a multi-discipline team of 6 – 8 people should have appropriate qualifications in the building services field, and hopefully be conversant with computer aided design software. Use of CAD would be an advantage
