First class career opportunities now exist for Project Managers to join this well-established and successful company which designs and manufactures Power and Magnetic product solutions for the Defence and Transit markets world-wide.

Our client is now looking to recruit Project Managers to work in their Transit division. Reporting to the Engineering Manager Project Managers will be responsible for management of complex power electronics design and development projects from bid to delivery. Achieving agreed time, cost and performance targets is vital. To assist you with this goal you will have direct responsibility for engineering department staff assigned to your project portfolio.

Design for manufacture is vital to our client’s success. You will be challenged with introducing cost effective new designs to manufacturing and facilitating an excellent engineering and manufacturing team approach. With an eye for the critical path, effective project planning and excellent communication at all levels will be crucial to building upon an already successful customer relationship.

Successful candidates will be educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or have equivalent experience. Relevant project management experience from contract development, electrical engineering and low-volume manufacturing environments is necessary. You will also require a successful track record leading engineering teams. Confident and motivated self-starters will most likely succeed in this role. Knowledge of best practice project management techniques would be an advantage. PC and keyboard literacy is also essential.

You would be joining the operating division of a world-leading aerospace and defence electronics company providing specialist products across the globe. It is part of a group of businesses specialising in the design, manufacture and support of electronic and electromechanical products and sub systems for the international defence, transit and aerospace markets.
