Power Electronics & Control Development Engineers needed within the Power Conversion Industry based in Rugby and Kidsgrove

Your Role is: Power Electronics & Control Development Engineers to join our clients engineering teams based in Rugby or Kidsgrove. The purpose of these roles is to specify, design and document power electronics hardware and software developments, working within a team of multi-skilled engineers to deliver development projects to the business, using computer simulation, specification, design and calculation tools. Responsible for estimating and planning of work to ensure budgets and timescales are met, liase with other units, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors and provide technical advice and assistance to the application engineering and sales teams. Power Electronics Hardware Engineers will be involved in design of low or medium voltage power electronic systems, including electrical design, selection of components, cubicle layout, electro-mechanical packaging, and cooling systems. Power Electronics Control Engineers will be involved in design of control schemes for power electronics systems, including specification, design, simulation, implementation (in a combination of real-time software and hardware) and testing.
Personal Attributes
You will hopefully be educated to degree level in electrical and electronic engineering and will have some experience in an engineering, design, testing, commissioning or research environment. In addition experience of drive train and/or power system design, control systems, Drive, PLC, or simulation programming is advantageous.
