Our client is a well established automotive company based in the Midlands. They are a truly international company with offices throughout the world employing over 5000 people and turning over £100m+. Due to continued year on year growth they have an immediate vacancy for an Electrical Technician based at their site in Birmingham.
The role is to work a 12 hour shift system days and nights. Flexibility will be needed to cover for sickness/holiday etc. This position involves working in a maintenance environment, stripping down equipment and carrying out maintenance work on equipment including conveyors, bearings, motors, robots and gearboxes. 95% of the work will be reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
• Reactive breakdown maintenance
• Participation in breakdown analysis and remedial actions supporting continuous improvement
• Planned maintenance
Skills:
• A formal qualification in engineering, E.g. C&G, 16th Ed etc
• Relevant experience from within a maintenance environment
• Must be apprentice trained or equivalent
• Experience as a multi skilled engineer preferably with an electrical bias
• PLC faultfinding capabilities (ladder logic level)
• Robotics Experience
• Servo axes and CNC systems maintenance experience
The company are offering a very attractive package for the role which includes a basic salary of £29000 plus overtime which should enable you to take home a salary of between £32000 and £35000, a company pension scheme is also provided.
