General Operatives needed within the Power Conversion Industry

Our Client is a worldwide specialist in Power Conversion. They provide customized solutions to convert electrical energy through optimum application of technology in drives, controls, motors and generators.

Their customers operate in three main markets: Marine, Energy and Industry as well as in many specialized areas.

They cover every aspect from design-only to turnkey systems, installation and commissioning, all backed by a full range of support services.

Your Role is:

Applications are currently invited for General Operatives to join the Electrical Machines Rotor Stator section of the Manufacturing Department, based in Rugby. The purpose of the role is to be involved in all aspects of the manufacture of rotors and stators within Electrical Machines rotor/stator cell.

Main Tasks Include:


  • Work under supervision to relevant drawings and specifications.

  • Assemble components.

  • Carry out tasks as required, to achieve set targets.

  • Assist crafts people as necessary.

  • Undergo training and development to achieve skilled status



  • Health and Safety Expectations

  • Responsible for self and others. .

  • To co-operate fully with all safe working practices.


  • Personal Attributes
    You must have a minimum of two years experience, preferably in an industrial environment, be analytical, numerate and literate. In addition qualifications such as; NVQ 2/3, ONC or City & Guilds in Engineering would be advantageous.

    You will need to be a good team player and have a flexible approach. In addition you must be able to work various shifts (including nights) as required


    Salary depends on experience plus
