One of the UK’s leading machine tool manufactures with a long established history at the forefront of its field of expertise delivering innovative solutions to its worldwide client base. The company is experiencing a dramatic increase in orders and now require a new Control Systems Engineer.
The candidate must be able to prepare detailed electrical schematics drawings (using AutoCAD or ePlan) for new machine designs and modification to existing designs with a good understanding of electrical safety standards and design of electrical equipment of machines and the ability to write PLC code from scratch using both ladder and statement list.
This position is biased towards writing bespoke software in VB for stand alone type applications that run a PC but also HMI screen applications on the machine tool. Preference will be given to candidates who have a working knowledge of configuring and communicating with PROFIBUS based devices through the machine PLC.
Operating mainly in an office environment working days (08:00-16:30) there will be a requirement to work overseas visiting clients and performing modifications.
In return the company are able to offer a salary up to £33,000, company pension, and annual productivity bonus.
