Control and Instrumentation Engineer needed for Small Steam Turbine department

Your Role is:
To join a team tasked with the application of the latest research and development to industrial steam turbines. This job within the team is to undertake work associated with the design and development of industrial turbine control and protection systems, turbine instrumentation and the turbine’s hydraulic actuation system.
The work will cover all aspects of turbine operation including start-up and shutdown. The work will involve working with other engineers involved in the machine’s development. The job includes liaison with other parts of Alstom and with external organisations and suppliers around the world. The aim is to develop and deliver high efficiency and cost effective turbines into the market within a relatively short period of time

Required Skills:
Experience of the mechanical design of Steam or Gas turbines, in particular in the Power Industry and working with Steam or Gas turbines.

Hours of Work 37 hours per week.(flexi-time)
Holiday Entitlement 25 days per year basic entitlement. Floating bank holidays – agreed annually. Holiday pro-rata during 1st year of employment.
