Commissioning Engineer - Vessel Automation Engineer needed within the Power Conversion Industry

Your Role is:
To check the equipment is ready for commissioning and to carry out commissioning safely to defined instructions and record results in preparation of a complete hand-over to customers
Main Tasks Include:
Checking that company and suppliers equipment is installed in a safe and operable condition in accordance with the designers requirements.
Commissioning and setting to work of the Vessel Automation Systems such as computer and PLC based equipment and peripherals such as Taut Wire, GPS, Sonar Vessel Position Measurement Equipment, UPS systems, Laser Systems and Joysticks. ALSPA PLCs and FIP and Ethernet networks. Including system tuning, setting Kalman gains and final hand-over to customer.
Servicing, faultfinding and training on DP and Vessel Automation Systems ranging from older, superseded analogue equipment to modern digital systems.
To produce 'as commissioned' documentation in accordance with independently audited Company Quality and Safety Management Systems e.g. SS EN 18001 and Classification Societies e.g. Lloyds Register and DNV.
Software familiarity with Pilot, ISaGRAF, Iconics P3200, Drivecoach and VX Works is essential to ensure changes and Modification control is applied at site level.
For LNG the operating systems for the PMS(power management system) and VMS(vessel management system) including the Gas Process are: Windows XP, HMI V4, Iconics V8. Hardware familiarity with AMC bricks, wago 110 and MTL Controllers is essential.
Health and Safety Expectations
Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, in accordance with the requirements of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and other relevant legislation such as the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations.
To provide appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision to others to enable them to comply with health and safety legislation.
Must be competent and certified as such to work safely on site within the prescribed voltage levels. So do you have what it takes??
