Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is to provide engineering instructions for contracts, tenders and development projects for the Company’s ranges of large electrical machine products.
This is an opportunity for the right individual to join the engineering team, producing designs for some of the largest electrical machines of their type manufactured in the world.
Responsibilities
Produce drawings and bills of materials on a wide range of individual projects for customized or specially engineered large rotating electrical machines.
Ensure that drawing office instructions for individual allocated projects are produced accurately and in a timely manner.
Candidate Requirements:
Ideally you will be an experienced draftsperson, qualified to at least ONC level with experience of rotating electrical machines. Experience in the design of rotating machinery equipment packages including equipment such as, gearboxes, couplings, lubrication systems, machinery enclosures and baseplates is desirable.
In addition, knowledge of using Medusa and/or Pro-Engineer CAD and Triton MRP systems would be a distinct advantage.
You will need to have a flexible, team-working approach, possess good personal organizational skills and be capable of liaising effectively with both other areas of the business and with external suppliers.
