Our client is seeking a Principle Structural Engineer to work within their vibrant Birmingham office, on projects in the development, industrial and education sectors
Personal Specification
Candidates will ideally be a proactive, self motivated individuals who are prepared to work diligently and able to demonstrate commitment & leadership. The ideal candidate will need to be able to design, deliver and manage multi discipline projects effectively and profitably. We are looking for an individual who can ‘lead by example’ and act as a mentor within the team. This person must have an in-depth knowledge of structural techniques so they will be able to impart this knowledge to other members of the team.
Ideally the candidate will have a Chartered Engineer/relevant qualification or working towards this status.
Candidate Attributes:
• Design Software experience – fully proficient in Engineering Design Software
• Be fully conversant with Microsoft packages and have the ability to utilise other project related software
• Have good report writing skills
• Have experience of UK Design codes
• Have excellent communication skills.
Job Description
The role will principally entail:
• Hands on design
• Managing a design team
• Design reviews
• Help develop and grow the design team
• Demonstrate ability to deliver competently within agreed budget and timeframes
• Attending Design Team Meetings
• Full interface with external clients
• Site representation
Salary & Package
The successful applicant can expect a superb annual salary (£45,000 p/a minimum) alongside a package that is flexible to suit the individual including; Contributory Pension, Company Car/Allowance, Profit share scheme, Health Care, Gym Membership etc.
