With more than 100 qualified M&E Consulting Engineers operating at the forefront of Innovative and Passive Design Solutions, due to continuing success as part of a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit and enthusiastic and self motivated Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to provide design expertise on single and multi disciplinary projects, both new build and refurbishment projects for the public and private sector. Working as part of a multidiscipline team of fellow building services professionals, architects and structural engineers all providing comprehensive design services, this is an exceptional opportunity for a suitably experienced design engineer to gain additional senior experience within an internationally renowned consultancy, affording the opportunity to work on large scale multidiscipline projects.
To be considered for this exceptional opportunity, successful candidates will ideally have achieved a relevant HNC or degree qualification with IEng or CEng proving distinctly advantageous. Additionally, demonstrable design experience gained within a design consultancy at a senior design level is additionally welcome as well as a good level of computer literacy in Windows and dedicated related industry software packages, with an understanding of AutoCAD proving to be particularly beneficial. With excellent communication skills, the ability to make decisions and act on your own initiative, monitor financial aspects of projects as well as operating in a pro-active way and being able to make presentations to and attending meetings with clients, this post will challenge the most capable of electrical design engineers seeking their next progressive career move.
You will undertake electrical building services engineering design, from concept design and Project Management through to construction issue and site supervision, and be responsible for carrying out design calculations on a variety of buildings from both public and private sectors of work It is therefore essential that you be capable of preparing technical specifications and drawings for drafting by the in-house CAD team, and undertaking Site surveys and inspections and preparing associated reports, records and archives in line with required company standards.
