Senior Designer

£25000 - £27000 + Company Pension Scheme + Training + 25 Days Holiday

The Company

Providing high-quality fluid handling equipment to a range of industries, this long-established business has utilised years of expertise to develop an exciting product range that has taken the market by storm. Supplying to a host of international customers, the business has garnered world-wide praise and is seen as the leading authority in the global market.
Following steady growth over the last 5 years, the business is keen to continue this trend into the future and has implemented strategies geared at further sectors and countries.

The Role

Answering to the Design Manager, the Senior Designer will be handed the autonomy to deliver solutions to the customer alone. Taking the initial specification, the Senior Designer will then ensure feasibility before producing a series of 2D and 3D designs on Medusa and Solid Edge. Once the final designs have been approved, the Senior Designer will then produce detailed specifications and Bill of Materials, plus aid in any issues raised by the prototyping team.

The Candidate

With a long-established design team in place, the company is keen to add the right person and is looking for someone with the right mix of enthusiasm and loyalty.
Applicants should possess experience within a mechanical design role, with exposure to 3D CAD and engineering calculations (stresses, pressures, etc.).

The Benefits

Upon joining the business, the new starter will undertake a 2 week induction, introducing the new starter to each department and providing the engineer with a full understanding of the product.
Following this induction, the engineer will receive support and guidance from the design manager, coupled with a range of on-going internal courses and full Solid Edge training.
