A great opportunity for a Senior Bridge Technician, working within our Highways & Transportation business, as a member of the Birmingham Consultancy Services Division based in Birmingham.
Reporting to Senior Engineer within Highways and Transportation, you will be expected to work in a team of up to 8 engineers and technicians on Bridge design schemes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Minimum ONC qualification or equivalent in a relevant field
Experience:
· Sufficient and appropriate experience
· Knowledge of Bridge design and / or assessments
· Experience of working with Highways Agency and / or Local Authorities
· Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
· Fully conversant with AutoCAD
· MS Excel and Word conversant
· RC / steel detailing experience
· Understanding of CDM regulations desirable
· Valid UK/EEC driving license
Responsibilities
· Support a Bridge / Structures team in a variety of roles reporting to a Senior Engineer
· CAD including Reinforcement and / or steel detailing
· Site Survey
· Structural Inspection and reporting
· Assist in the preparation of contract drawings
· Assist in feasibility and Option studies
· Assist in bridge renewal scheme
· Compliance with Quality, Safety and Environmental procedures to our Business Management Systems
· Work is undertaken to programme and budget
· Health & Safety obligations are met
