We are currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer / Product Designer. The company is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of aids for daily living and pressure care products. With a global customer base, their name is synonymous for quality and excellence within their industry.
They are continuing to grow their exciting product range. The Design Engineer / Product Designer will join the existing Design Department to help ensure their growth continues. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be required to produce design and detailed specifications of new products and/or modifications to existing products as allocated from a written product design specification through to a product component assembly design in accordance with company requirements.
To be considered for the Design Engineer / Product Designer, you will need to be educated to degree level within either an Engineering or Product Design discipline. With some experience within a design department where you have been responsible for the design of a project from concept through to production, they are looking for individuals who can communicate at all levels both internally and externally. Ideally with knowledge of Solid Works (although candidates with similar software experience such as Solid Edge and Inventor will be considered as full training will be provided), you will need to demonstrate a basic knowledge of injection moulding, plastics, sheet meta, fabrication, electrics and mechanical systems.
