CAD Designer Engineer - Air Intake Systems
Gaydon/Whitley

Across two world-renowned brands, the Jaguar Land Rover Powertrain puts the heart into our vehicles. Specialist teams provide vital support in the design, development and calibration of diesel and petrol engines, engine management systems, transmission units, differential and drive shafts - and of cooling, exhaust, air intake and fuel systems. You’ll devote your expertise to the creation of vehicles that set new standards in engineering, meet environmental requirements and delight our customers.

With significant experience in Automotive Engineering, you will support the Air Intake department with CAD modelling, packaging and tool design of intake systems. Self motivated and with effective analytical skills, you will be responsible for model generation and drawings for all components that are used on our products. Working with Component Engineers and PMST Engineers, you will help produce feasible designs that meet the requirements of the platform team. With CAD (Catia V4) - design and surfacing experience, you will ensure that all drawings and models meet the relevant specifications, are free from clashes in all derivatives of the vehicle and meet the design intent and performance requirements. With a sound understanding of data management, you will also co-ordinate and maintain all relevant databases.

Experience in packaging and tool design of intake systems (including releasing drawings in METAPHASE, CATIA V4 and TCE) is essential.
Previous experience of injection and blow moulding tool design is a must, as is a knowledge of packaging work carried out using Visplus Digibuck. An excellent communicator, you will also be confident resolving complex technical problems.
