Tendering engineer needed for steam turbine department

The company designs, manufactures and supplies state-of-the-art products and systems to the power generation - for gas, coal, and hydro power plants - and industrial markets
Your Role is:
Candidates would be expected to interact with other members of the Concept Development and wider Tendering team, to develop high standard technical solutions. Interaction with the order execution Engineering department will also be required .
Main Tasks Include:
Interaction with various teams, Tender Managers and Thermodynamics, to develop the turbine layout, steam path & blading in support of your departments tenders Support for contract design of fixed and moving blades within our clients Concept Design Section. Develop and support your departments design activity, including the creation of blade product models. Generation of specifications and manufacturing instructions for both standard engineering solutions. Support for processing manufacturing Basic application of blading and diaphragm design tools, SPDA, DDT, MBT. Concept layout and preparation of cost estimating data. Support to other technical tendering design teams (located around Europe) in order to generate identified solutions, including design and cost elements Support for project handover to Engineering functions on contract award
Required Skills:
Some similar technical / engineering environment experience would be beneficial Experience in the use of CATIA V5 CAD software would be highly advantageous. Direct experience or knowledge of steam turbine design would be advantageous. Understanding of the basic mechanics and dynamics of rotating equipment would be advantageous.
It is expected that the successful candidate will have:
Direct experience or knowledge of steam turbine design layout. Experience of CAD systems – CATIA v5 is preferred. Computer literate – Able to work on PC and UNIX/LINUX systems. Basic physical understanding of structural mechanics / dynamics (vibration) of rotating equipment would be advantageous. Knowledge of manufacturing techniques would be advantageous.

Salary Details depends on experience
Hours of Work 37 hours per week.(flexi-time)
Holiday Entitlement 25 days per year basic entitlement. Floating bank holidays – agreed annually. Holiday pro-rata during 1st year of employment.
