Business Area Manager – West Midlands – to £55k
Our client is renowned globally as the market leader in materials handling allied to the hazardous materials sector, providing bespoke solutions from concept design through to manufacture and simulated operation prior to delivery, installation and commissioning within customers' facilities worldwide. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Business Area Manager to oversee the activities of the existing sales team.
The role of the Business Area Manager is fundamental to the overall success of our client, and reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, the successful candidate will work as part of the Senior Management Team in developing ongoing strategies to ensure the long term future of the organisation. The role will encompass complete delivery across all aspects of Business Winning and Implementation, and this will include the delivery of change to meet key market drivers at both strategic and operational levels within an expanding market place. The company is driven by a highly motivated executive team and this key role will demand a similarly motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record in Industry, and therefore experience in the nuclear sector and a detailed knowledge of B38 is essential for this role.
Additional key attributes are an experience and understanding of Project Management, Engineering, Manufacture, Business Development, Management & Delivery. A sound understanding of related technical aspects within the nuclear and related industries are regarded as essential to the delivery of this key role. The successful candidate will therefore bring a dynamic approach to the company and introduce any changes in culture required to meet the expectations of the Investors, maximising and exploiting market opportunities with due consideration to market conditions and drivers by introduction of any necessary change required to do so, and evaluating Business Opportunities that are ideally suited to the organisation, to maximise profitability through quality deliverables and innovation, on time and within budget.
You will maintain and develop relationships with current and potential clients in order to maximise future opportunities across all Business Areas and Win Business on or above targets through consistent delivery of competitive tenders, in line with Client and the Company’s expectations. Additionally you will deliver technical advancements in order to meet market challenges across all aspects of Business Development & Delivery and provide a key interface with related Business and Function managers to achieve the overall Company’s objectives and goals.
To be considered for this crucial position, you will demonstrate a minimum of 10 years experience within the Nuclear and related Industries as set out above, and a minimum of 3 years experience of the B38 and related silos contracts as set out above. A strong background and proven track record within Technical, Sales, Operations and Business Delivery and a dynamic and determined and highly focussed approach with the determination to succeed in all areas of Business is paramount for the role.
