Main Responsibilities
Carrying out valuations of a wide range of property types.
Gaining knowledge of the various property market sub-sectors (e.g office, retail etc), both in terms of the rental market and investment and development markets.
Inspecting properties, together with measuring properties.
Undertaking planning enquiries at local Council, and making property/market enquiries.
Writing valuation reports, carrying out valuations on valuation computer packages and discussing valuations with clients.
Working in busy, time-pressured environment.
Preparing valuation proposals to send to clients.
Going to meetings with clients, and explaining or presenting valuations.
Essential Requirements
Educated to degree level.
Strong literacy/report writing skills
Good level of numeracy.
Good computer skills – Word and Excel.
Enthusiastic and hard-working approach.
Attention to detail.
Common sense.
Ability to work well in a team.
Current driving licence.
Desirable Requirements
Chartered Surveyor (RICS).
Degree in Engineering, or at least a degree with a component of mathematics/numeracy would be very useful.
Pro-active approach/initiative. Not a 9 – 5 person. |
