Design Technicians/Designers - AutoCAD - Construction Industry - based Bristol, South London, Tamworth, Manchester and Glasgow - salary up to £32K
We are looking for Design Technicians and designers with good AutoCAD skills and (preferably) an Engineering HNC or a civil engineering qualification (HND/HNC/City and Guilds) for a leading supplier of formwork and falsework systems to the construction industry.
The Design Technician (AutoCAD) would work in an office based position and could be based in Bristol, South London, Glasgow or Manchester. The Design Technician would report to the design manager.
Experienced people are preferred but training would be given to those less experienced but suitably qualified to enable you to design and detail equipment layouts for a variety of forming and shoring requirements, whilst developing an understanding of structural issues, economy and innovation of design.
Experience of concrete construction would be a definite plus as would knowledge/experiencing of structural engineering
You will be expected to prove yourself in a company where promotion is based on ability, not academic qualifications. The company currently use AutoCAD LT.
You must have O Levels/GCSE in Maths, English, Science and, preferably, ONC/HNC/HND Civil Engineering, preferably with structural bias. A Mechanical Engineering Degree would also be acceptable.
