Hill McGlynn has recently been instructed to source an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator for this leading regionally focused contractor.
Our client has a reputation for delivering high-risk projects on-time and within budget. Their clients include major blue-chip organisations in the United Kingdom and Ireland:

• Various Water companies and Local Authorities
Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking to strengthen their estimating division by bringing on an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator.
As the successful Senior Estimator you will be reporting to the Chief Estimator and representing our client on a regional basis in assisting secure new projects and carrying out all Estimating duties.
Typical Work Activities will include:
• detailing all the materials necessary for the contract to achieve specification;
• estimating the cost of plant and equipment;
• working with the planning engineer - a prediction of the likely progress and completion rate of the project must be calculated, bearing in mind bonus payments and sub contractual arrangements;
• calculating a final figure for the estimated cost, supplemented by adjustments for overheads and profit, and presenting a tender price;
• Cost Monitoring weekly/monthly
