Working for the systems division which designs, engineers, commissions and supports PLC/SCADA based Plant Management systems to control and monitor industrial multi-utility and energy plants in the contract energy and utility management sector. Key projects include:- remote alarm management, plant performance management and control.
The successful engineer will be responsible for
PLC programming via distributed I/O
Remote alarm management system commissioning
SCADA commissioning
Managing site electrical/mechanical contractors
Carrying out Factory Acceptance Tests (control panels, PLC and SCADA)
Compiling of method statements, system manuals, cable schedules, loop diagrams
Supporting newly installed systems.
You will have at least 2 years experience in engineering and commissioning of Allen Bradley PLC and SCADA projects - be familiar with Ethernet, DeviceNet, Modbus or Profibus and be methodical and thorough in solving PLC/SCADA/Network/Comms or PC problems.
Experience of Power or Utility industry sectors would be advantageous as would previous experience of specifying/procuring control panels, instrumentation and metering.
