Project Manager needed within the Power Conversion Industry
Our Client is a worldwide specialist in Power Conversion. They provide customized solutions to convert electrical energy through optimum application of technology in drives, controls, motors and generators.
Their customers operate in three main markets: Marine, Energy and Industry as well as in many specialized areas.
They cover every aspect from design-only to turnkey systems, installation and commissioning, all backed by a full range of support services.
Your Role is:
To manage projects from £1m to upwards of £20m, a number of positions are available, at a variety of levels for experienced Project Managers, to provide commercial leadership on a range of engineering contracts in Naval, Offshore and Renewable Energy markets and also Motor and Generator manufacture.
Main Tasks Include:
Lead and direct project teams on individual projects, driving progress against a project programme.
Register, compile, submit and negotiate extensions of time and extras to contracts.
Ensure that contract control procedures are complied with and are maintained as required.
Act as the main interface with the customer on all matters.
Be responsible for achieving project financial targets set by management.
Carry out project reviews.
Personal Attributes
The successful candidate will hopefully have an HNC in an engineering or commercial subject and have some experience in a Project Management role. Can you demonstrate problem solving and process analysis skills? In addition, strong commercial ability and a pro-active, decisive approach would be an advantage… This is the role for you!
