About the Role: You'll focus on the effective management of all the commercial aspects of their highways business, including tender proposals, contract management and dispute resolution. It's a varied role that will see you identifying and implementing business improvement opportunities and best practice to the measurable satisfaction of clients. You'll also place a firm emphasis on developing the commercial skills and knowledge of all staff in this sector. On top of this, you'll introduce business initiatives to predetermined timescales and resolve any claims or disputes in a timely fashion.
About You: The suitable candidate will be someone who's familiar with reviewing contract documents at both the pre and post-contract award stages, as well as providing advice on contractual, legal and financial requirements. You'll be able to use commercially available estimating and programming software systems, too, such as CCS, Manifest, Conquest, Primavera, Crystal Ball and Excel. Qualified to at least HNC level in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying Law or equivalent, you'll also be a member of an appropriate professional organisation like ICES and RICS.
