What is the Role?
As a Senior Test Engineer( Signalling), you would be responsible for Lead Test Engineers and Verification Test Engineers when carrying out testing duties.
Responsibilities include
· To lead all test activities on individual projects and carry out duties of Tester in Charge as defined in Group and Company Standards.
· Provide technical knowledge, support and advice to the Testing Teams within the field of testing and commissioning.
· To produce accurate and detailed information for tenders and client enquiries to meet contractual deadlines and client requirements
· Carry out investigations in to testing irregularities and incidents producing accurate reports at the request of the Test Engineering Manager
· Carry out team meetings ensuring all staff are adequately briefed on health and safety, new or altered standards and company matters
· Gain the appropriate IRSE Licence(s) necessary for the position ensuring personal log book is maintained and in date.
· To keep up to date with changes to legislation and standards issued either by Network Rail or other professional bodies.
· To act as the Infrastructure Controller for handing over the completed works for ‘Entry into Service’ when this responsibility is delegated by the client.
Who are the likely candidates? What Skills do I need?
· ONC Electrical Engineering or Incorporated Engineer.
· Mod 1 Licence
· Mod 3B/3C/4 Licenses
· Membership of IRSE is desirable
· 5 years testing experience
· Good knowledge of Railway Signalling Principles

· Relevant Hazard Knowledge
