Our client is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their busy Midlands office due to a recent uplift in work load.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and within agreed budgets, to be able to take on significant elements of the detailed design personally, to provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and to be capable of working on your own initiative, with minimal supervision.
At points, you will also be required to act as Project Manager on small sized low risk projects and assist with the management of teams for a particular programme of work with a view to develop financial and project management skills.
The suitable candidate will have outline knowledge and/or experience of the management of smaller projects, both financially and technically and will have recognised academic qualifications such as a Degree, HND or HNC and will be working towards a recognised professional qualification and membership of appropriate professional bodies.
