Job Description
An opportunity has risen within our Highways and Transportation business for a Program Manager to assist project managers with the delivery of a range of infrastructure projects. You will be part of the national Transport Solutions business with responsibility for managing the delivery of projects to time and budget. You will have the opportunity to enhance Atkins profile and reputation through engaging with new and existing customers. Reporting to a Divisional Director you will be based in our Birmingham office. This will involve: - Project management of large multi-discipline infrastructure projects
- Managing relationships with clients and approving authorities
- Leading the development of project management within our team
Requirements
- Either Chartered / near Chartered (ICE) or Incorporated Engineer
- Experience of using Highways Agency's design standards
- Experience of highway drainage design at feasibility and detailed design stages
- Experience in the use of Microdrainage or WinDes
- Good written and verbal communication skills and able to work effectively with colleagues and clients
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in respect of drainage design to managers within transportation engineering
- Work with clients to develop and promote highway drainage schemes through all stages of development from inception to construction completion
- Assist with the development of our departments drainage desighn capability
- Assist the transportation engineering management team with staff development
- Promote our capability to clients
