A major multi-disciplinary consultancy are seeking to appoint a Senior Bridge Engineer to join them in their Birmingham office. They are predominantly focused on the delivery of projects within the highways sector and therefore design experience of highways based structures would be favourable however rail experienced candidates are also welcomed and encourage to apply.
Your main responsibilities and duties will be to prepare technically sound and innovative design solutions in accordance with relevant codes of practice, preparing reports, scheme programmes and scheme cost estimates as well as providing technical and project administration support to Project Managers. Utilising your experience and knowledge you will be able to manage projects and coordinate with clients and third parties, supervising other staff in the undertaking of scheme designs to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality and standards.
Qualified with a relevant degree (or equivalent) in Engineering and Chartered or working towards chartered status, you will have a working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges standards and the ability to work unsupervised.
