A fantastic opportunity for a Bridge Engineer to join a world renowned Engineering Consultancy and undertake a Senior Engineer role in their Bridges and Structures team in Birmingham.
Your main duties will be to prepare and check structural assessment calculations and designs for railway underbridges and highway bridges as well as leading and developing a team of Engineers and Technicians. You will be responsible for meeting agreed targets in engineering and safety standards.
Ideally qualified to CEng, MICE or CENG MIStructE level or actively working towards your Chartership status you will hold significant knowledge and experience of working on structural assessments, design of bridges or metal structures and possess detailed knowledge of the current limit state assessment and design codes for railway underbridges and highway bridges.
A competent lead engineer, skilled in meeting financial and delivery targets, you will also be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Superstress, Lusas and Microsoft Word Software.
Applications are also encouraged if you have proven experience in heavy industrial civil engineering. A background of design, fabrication and construction would be an advantage.
