Job Description
We are recruiting for a Project Manager in a unique and flexible position. You will lead and deliver £million plus projects while combining your skills with engineers and Scientists from many different industry sectors such as road, drainage, groundwork, building structures, M&E and many more. We are looking for a Project Manager from a civil engineering background to provide and manage on a diverse range of projects serving many different market sectors. We would look for you to use your own portfolio of skills to add and lead project's and combine with other disciplines. You will be working on projects across the UK, utilising your skills of environmental disciplines to deliver civil engineering projects. With a current pipeline of 6 months work secured with the potential of more on the horizon. A high number of the projects that you will be working on will be new builds and you will see through the complete project lifecycle. The position will be located in our Birmingham City Centre office. With an extensive client list including the private and public sector and international development clients, we offer opportunities to further your career, reinforce project management skills and advancement within the Company.

Responsibilities
  • Design or contribute to the design of major civil engineering projects
  • Develop innovative solutions within engineering, programme and economic constraints Have the flexibility to apply engineering skills across many industry Leading the design of civil engineering works including liaison with the client and management of the project financial performance Work within a team of skilled engineers and scientists To develop your skills within the team environment To support major UK projects Manage the input of a wide range of contributory disciplines


Requirements

Relevant technical engineering experience Degree Qualified Able to make detailed design and assessment calculations using Excel and various specialised software packages. Able to assist in the preparation of business case documents and technical reports Achieved or working towards Chartered Engineer status Good communication skills and ability to enthuse and motivate staff
