What is the Role?
As a Principle Test Engineer- Signalling , you would lead all testing activities on individual projects and carry out duties of Tester in Charge . You will also provide technical knowledge, support and advice to the Testing Teams within the field of testing and commissioning.
You will be responsible to Lead Test Engineers and Verification Test Engineers when carrying out testing duties.
Key activities include
· Producing accurate and detailed information for tenders and client enquiries to meet contractual deadlines and client requirements.
· Provide detailed and accurate testing strategies and testing/commissioning plans in a corporate format to meet all client requirements.
· Carry out checks on testing strategies and testing/commissioning plans prepared by others
· T o act as the Infrastructure Controller for handing over the completed works for Entry into Service when this responsibility is delegated by the client.
· Provide support, mentorship and witness testimony to other members of the testing team enabling them to gain and maintain relevant IRSE licence(s).
· To provide knowledge and expertise as required in the execution of the contracts the company currently hold and may acquire in the future.
· Ensure in-house and out-sourced testing, under your control, meets all mandatory requirements for Signal Works Testing, verifying competence and undertaking assessments as requested.
Who are the likely candidates?
· ONC Electrical Engineering or Incorporated Engineer.
· Mod 1 Licence holder
· Mod 3B/3C/4 Licences
What Skills do I need?
· Atleast 5 years testing experience.
· Good knowledge of Railway Signalling Principles.
· Up to date knowledge of Network Rail Group and Company Standards.
· Knowledge of Network Rail Safety Standards.
