2 SITE ENGINEERS / SETTING OUT ENGINEERS / WARWICK / MIDLANDS
My client, a renowned civil engineering contractor who socialise in road and highways, have an urgent need for 2 Site engineers who are competent in setting out. The role will be based out of their Warwick office and will involve work on a number of Midlands based projects that they have on at the moment.
ROLE
•Carries out setting out duties accurately and on time
•General management and co-ordination of digital engineering information
•Setting out of civil engineering and building works on various sites within the company's operating area
•Land survey and mapping tasks including production of drawings
•Digital computation of construction quantities for tendering and measurement purposes
•Occasional site management support
•Ensures quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification
Operates and promotes a high standard of health and safety and environment compliance
SKILLS REQUIRED
•Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng)
•Proven experience of doing a similar role in the construction industry
•A sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
•Be fully conversant with the use of robotic total station instruments
•Be experienced and confident in the setting out of earthworks, highways and structures
•Have some experience of AutoCAD
•Have a fundamental understanding of bill of quantities
•Be a team player who can work to demanding deadlines with confidence and autonomy
•Excellent skills in mathematics, IT and mechanics
•The ability to analyse complex problems and assess solutions
Good project management, communication and financial management skills
