Proposals Engineer x 2- Process Engineering background - Chemical Engineering qualification - previous work experience in a proposals/sales environment - based Rugby or Sunbury-on-Thames - salary £30 - £34K
We are looking for two Proposals Engineers who are qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline (preferably Chemical Engineering) and who have a Process Engineering background
The Proposals Engineer/Process Engineer will, preferably, be familiar with P&ID's, datasheet requirements, valve sizing calcs, relief valve calcs, blowdown calcs, etc and have good written and verbal communication skills
Candidates for the position of Proposals Engineer/Process Engineer should be familiar with Hysys or Pro II and Mechanical, electrical and control requirements
Knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry and market is desirable and commercial knowledge/awareness beneficial
Previous work experience in a proposals/sales environment is required as the job will entail handling all aspects of tendering including:-
* Receipt of enquiry, review of Client's commercial and technical requirements
* Management of the enquiry from receipt through to contract award
* PFD and P&ID review and development.
* Assessment of control systems, mechanical requirements, piping, instruments, painting, insulation, NDE, inspection, packaging and shipping requirements
* Evaluation of skid/package layout requirements
* Preparation and issue of sub-vendor enquiries
* Review of sub-vendor information and preparation of cost estimates
* Preparation and issue of formal written bid submittals
* Handling of Client's clarification requests and attendance at bid clarification meetings
* Liaison with both Client's and sub-vendors.
One candidate will be based in Rugby and one in London
