We have an immediate requirement for a Senior Building Services Engineer to be based in the Coventry area on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of the role is to provide specialist building services input to all pharmaceutical, food and fine chemical projects that the client is involved with.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building services proposals, studies, conceptual design and detail on all projects. They will also need to ensure that building services knowledge database is kept up to date and identify and implement new technology.
Main duties will include;
Act as Lead Building Services Engineer on projects and supervise and control the work of engineers and draughtsmen.
Estimating, programming and budget control of projects.
Liaise with other disciplines, clients and suppliers.
Detail building services design and/or approval including calculation, plant and equipment selection.
Provide site support during survey, installation and commissioning stages.
Sales and building services marketing support including presentations.
Ideally, candidates will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Building Services and be of chartered status, however, candidates that are educated to HNC level (or equivalent) will be considered.
Those candidates that have extensive experience in HVAC Engineering and experience in fine chemicals, pharmaceutical and food industries from contractor or end user aspect will be advantageous.
The client’s uses computer software including CYMAP, Hevacomp and AutoCAD, so experience of this software will be beneficial to a candidate’s application.
