An automotive OEM requires a Technical Analyst.
Position Description: Responsible as part of a team for the development, convergence and improvement of client Release & Product Definition (R&PD) new and existing processes to meet International Operations Strategy Group (IOSG) and disaggregation requirements, add value, provide process improvements for the customer that are successfully implemented within R&PD.
Skills Required: This involves engaging and gaining approval from all levels. Key roles would be: - Engaging with IOSG & disaggregation ensuring: 1.The adoption of IOSG led initiatives within the R&PD team 2. The improvement to processes owned by the client Product Development Operations, using LEAN principles, the application of Six-Sigma and other appropriate methodologies coupled to the application of local process improvement processes. 3. The representing of the R&PD view to the external owners of processes that impact R&PD, including the acquisition of the views of R&PD customers 4. The use and continual development of the techniques used to develop and design processes, including process flow-charting, roles and definition statements, cost benefit analyses, customer matrix documents, Single Point Lessons, and new/modified risk assessments.
Skills Preferred: Understanding of the release conventions & tools used in client, e.g. WERS. Business analyst with some project management experience preferable. Experience of Automotive Industry and specifically Product Development environment - preferably within client. The ability to work at a detailed level on complex tasks
Experience Required: Ability to work with minimal supervision, an imaginative problem solver and able to work on initiative, a team player with excellent communication skills. Organisation and planning skills, a flexible approach to working environments and able to adapt to changing circumstances. Workload management to support programme timing, key project dates and departmental targets. Familiar with and have had exposure to process development and deployment and be able to demonstrate driving change
Experience Preferred: Understanding of the Release conventions & tools used in client, e.g. WERS Business analyst with some project management experience. Knowledge of the Product Development environment - preferably within client. Able to work at a detailed level on complex tasks and identify problems/solutions.
Education Required: Degree preferable. Literate, articulate, polite and confident with strong communication skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office preferable.
