Jaguar Land Rover has a global reputation for quality, and we work with a global portfolio of suppliers. You will travel extensively in the UK and abroad, providing technical advice and assuring the quality of components produced by our external supplier base for both new model programmes and current production vehicles. You will work on development and sign-off of the supplier s manufacturing processes, and be responsible for the thorough development and implementation of their Quality Operating System.
With a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent, you will have a detailed understanding of manufacturing processes within a manufacturing, product creation or manufacturing engineering discipline. You ll have a proven track record in process management and a strong focus on quality. An understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process is desirable. You should have a proven ability to use problem solving techniques such as 8D and 6 Sigma, and good IT skills.
Motivated and enthusiastic about continuous improvement and excellence in processes, you ll be able to show that you have good decision making abilities within a manufacturing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital, as is the ability to influence supplier Senior Management. Given the need to travel, you will need a full driving licence and the ability to be flexible about working hours.
