Our client currently require experienced IDEAS Designers to join them on a contract basis. Working on-site at their Warwickshire based location, the successful job holder will need to have experience within an interiors environment.
JOB ROLE:
The purpose of the job will be to work, with minimum supervision, supporting the body interior department with CAD design and modelling of interior trim components of both current and future vehicle platforms, producing finished detailed CAD designs and drawings. This role will also require an amount of project engineering responsibility.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS:
- Proven IDEAS experience within an automotive background in component design. A working knowledge of Teamcenter would be advantageous although training can be provided.
- Knowledge of interior trim components, plastic injection moulding components, Vac formed parts, machined metal products and metal bracketry.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent within an engineering related discipline.
- Knowledge of leather trimming and mechanism systems would also be advantageous.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A working knowledge of component manufacturing, tooling requirements & lead times.
- The ideal candidate will be a focused, highly motivated, results orientated individual who works well under pressure and can work to a given deadline.
