An automotive OEM requires a Project Manager Engineer Position Description: "Provide a dedicated focal point for the management of all PT related issues experienced within the launch phases of the programmes. The Engineer will represent Powertrain as the primary interface between the specialist Powertrain sub-teams and the vehicle management team located at Castle Bromwich plant. Specific responsibilities will include planning and coordination of pre-production build activities; Programme launch status tracking and reporting; issue resolution; AIMS management; BOM tracking etc. The role may require some very limited night shift or weekend support during specific build periods. " Skills Required: "Good overall Powertrain system knowledge. Computer literate in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Project. Valid UK driving licence Ability to interface directly to the vehicle programme teams and represent the Powertrain Department Facilitation of technical issue resolution using the specialist skills available within Powertrain Flexible, adaptable and excellent communicator Written / Oral " Skills Preferred: "Working knowledge of client project delivery and change management processes including GDPS, AIMS, WERS, EFDVS is preferred, but specific systems training can be provided where necessary. Knowledge of relevant quality tools eg FMEA, 8D etc." Experience Required: Powertrain system design or programme management. Experience Preferred: Experience within a vehicle launch and assembly environment is highly desirable Education Required: An Engineering or automotive qualification at higher level is an advantage.
