An automotive OEM requires a Project Manager Engineer Position Description: "Coordinate the Powertrain Advanced Product Creation team to: Develop Engineering concepts for Powertrain Feature Assumptions including package Concur high level system Attribute target compatibility and feasibility Ensure Powertrain Assumptions documentation compatible with Cost / Weight targets. Concur Assumptions with Manufacturing Engineering Confirm Quality actions required within project Identify Early Supplier Involvement Initiate attribute demonstrator vehicle Plan Agree Programme Start project status. Support team to develop a Bill of material Kick off the Supplier sourcing early prototype build support / Identify Rigs and DV Spares requirement Update Powertrain project Status Handover project to Core powertrain Team” Skills Required: "Good project management, negotiation and communication skills essential. Must be highly motivated and able to foster good working relationships with Customers / delivery teams. " Skills Preferred: "Experience in using client Design quality tools Good working knowledge of client systems. Proven years in Automotive Engineering." Experience Required: "Demonstrable sound engineering background. Experience in Supplier Liaison & management skills. Experience in the delivery & management of mechanical and or electro-mechanical components/systems. Experience in resolution of complex technical problems." Experience Preferred: "Experience in co-ordinating / working as part of a multi disciplined team. Working knowledge of project delivery processes. Working knowledge of change management processes."
