An automotive OEM requires a Project Manager Engineer to work within chassis engineering division. Core task is to manage the engineering design and delivery of Upper Steering Systems from concept phase through to production using a gateway structured process (GPDS) The role will require liason with a cross functional team including (but not exclusively) Electrical / Electronics, BIW, NVH, Vehicle Safety and Vehicle Dynamics. Owns and reports out project deliverables within Upper Steering and Programme Team. Facilitates problem resolution and champions Upper Steering owned AIMs. Represents Upper Steering to program and attribute teams (attends PAT meetings) Coordinates and records progress through Sub-Module meetings.
Skills Required: Must be a good team player with the ability to work effectively within a cross functional team. Must have good verbal and written communication skills to report technical issues across all levels. Must have the ability to manage complex issues and to balance the conflicting needs of the business within project timing constraints. Must demonstrate proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines. Must have a working knowledge of JLR engineering disciplines and understand and use key JLR delivery systems (eFDVS, WERS, AIMS, GPDS etc.). Must be flexible with regard to multiple site working and be prepared to travel overseas if required.
Experience Required: Must have a working knowledge of JLR engineering disciplines, with a demonstrable in depth knowledge of the relevant chassis systems and components. .
Education Required: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience and have a working knowledge of JLR engineering disciplines . For the purpose of this role TAC Europe operates as a Employment Business.
