An automotive OEM requires a Project Engineer Position Description: "As a member of the GPDS team the successful candidate will be responsible for current and future Product Creation processes within Jaguar & Land Rover based on benchmarking competitors and opportunity groups (e.g. Mazda, Volvo, FMC). They will also work toward improving existing PD processes from both process design and development through to and including deployment. We aim to make the difference. A key element of this role will be the ability to engage and work with all levels within client including senior management up to and including Board level" Skills Required: "A good understanding of the typical Product Creation process within the automotive context. Project management and coordination skills with an ability to track and monitor large numbers of activities from a dispersed working group. The ability to communicate project control requirements and to gain support from cross-functional teams. Reasonable ability with standard MS software packages." Skills Preferred: "Understanding & experience ofleading cross-functional teams would be beneficial. Proven project management experience with an ability to communicate at various levels within the business. Experience of PD & Purchase environment - preferably within the client. Will be working at the detailed level on a complex task Able to create/manage simple database (MS Excel/Access) and project management software" Experience Required: "Ability to work with minimal supervision you will be an imaginative problem solver and able to work on initiative, you must be a real team player with excellent communication skills. Demonstrate organisation and planning skills, a flexible approach to working environments and able to adapt to changing circumstances. Manage workload to support programme timing, key project dates and departmental targets. Numerate, analytical, computer literate MS Office, internet etc. A current UK driving licence and willingness to travel to our UK sites is essential.
