Methods/Production Engineer - Automotive Components industry - either competent in manufacturing processes i.e.:- turning, milling, grinding, welding or with CAD skills - based Bromyard, Herefordshire - salary £22 - 26K
We are looking for a Methods/Production Engineer for a Tier One supplier of automotive exterior trim components
The Methods/Production Engineer could be either be a fully hands on Methods Engineer who would be at home using the full range toolroom equipment or an office based engineer with some CAD and Microsoft office skills.
Skills required are either competency in manufacturing processes including turning, milling, grinding, welding etc or else CAD skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of automotive systems would be an advantage.
The role of Methods/Production Engineer will involve design and construction of jigs, fixtures and packaging and the ability to read drawings / specifications and interpret into manufacturing information is required.
The Methods/Production Engineer will also be expected to ensure that the company's manufacturing ancillaries are designed and commissioned for optimum labour, material and plant efficiency.
The ideal candidate for the position of Methods/Production Engineer would either be apprentice qualified and hold an HND/Degree in a manufacturing or engineering discipline or else would have had experience in an engineering or technical environment
