An automotive OEM requires a Electrical Systems Engineer Position Description: Component and/or whole system project management experience within a powertrain or electrical engineering environment. Key duties include: 1. the vehicle integration of an electro-mechanical system requiring communication and integration between numerous departments 2. Management of concept, design and detailing of an electro-mechanical system 3. Management of suppliers from concept through to production and the management of component programme module team commodity plans. Skills Required: Must have substantial knowledge and experience of electrical-mechanical system integration, project management and delivery. Must be pro-active, self starters. Must be able to manage cross functional issues and teams. Must have proven knowledge of and experience of DFMEAs, robustness techniques, root cause problem resolutions, technical project management. Must be capable of driving x-functional issue resolution through to implementation. Skills Preferred: Knowledge/experience of managing suppliers to meet delivery dates. Proven effective communication skills. Previous experience of man management, and working in a team environment. Some CAD skills, 6 sigma green belt, detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes. This is a senior position and candidates should only be submitted if they have substantial electrical engineering experience within an automotive environment. Experience Required: Must have proven substantial knowledge and experience of electrical-mechanical system integration, project management and delivery within the automotive environment. Experience Preferred: Knowledge of NVH Education Required: Undergraduate degree in either a Mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline.
