Software Engineer required to work for a large automotive client based in the Midlands.
Description
PMST Engineer -
a) Manage calibration and software plans.
b) Manage Part numbering & calibration releases into WERS.
c) Manage vehicle allocations to relevant engineers & ensure vehicles are arranged with Vehicle Office.
d) Coordinate development engineers to make sure test plans are in line with release plans.
e) Run PMST meetings to maintain and track progress.
f) Ensure all steps are in place to deliver TCM software and calibrations on time.
g) Manage calibration databases and build calibrations as necessary.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
a) Lead the Project Management Meetings for the TCM, Drive Line and GSM.
b) Track and review the DV procedures, with development engineer.
c) Resolve issues affecting the vehicle build, development issues and vehicle rectification.
d) Lead the quality deliverables (FMEA, RDM, Boundary diag, SPICE, DFMEA, P-diagram, etc..)
e) Lead the up-dates for SDS , DCR control, Interface Matrix, Service Manual, CAN message, etc..
f) Manage all the AIM's, Part Number releases, DVP status, Commodity plans, PMST/SM sheets & warranty support.
g) Support the management with budget input.
Details
Experience Required:
Successful delivery of at least 1 previous Powertrain control system and design, development and calibration project to meet whole world requirements for a major OEM or supplier. Working knowledge of developing Powertrain control systems that meet customer expectations. Working knowledge on use of INCA, Matlab, Excel, Word, Project and Access. Specific working knowledge of the Powertrain Control System used on the program Proven project time line management.
Education Required:Qualified to degree standard or equivalent experience in Electronics, Software or Control System Engineering. Other degree will be considered depending on experience. |
