DESIGN ENGINEER/ ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Based: Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 + Additional Benefits
Due to continued growth my client is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer. The company is part a leading UK based Group with client bases across the world. They continue to expand and provide specialist services in a number of areas that include Offshore Power Generation, Diesel & Gas Power and Control Systems. My client have a reputation for maintaining an unrivalled reputation for their expertise within the market.
Due to continued success they are now looking to expand their current engineering site and are now looking to recruit highly motivated Electrical Design Engineers to join their existing staff. The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing the electrical and instrumentation for the diesel and gas power generation packages along with the ancillaries for the offshore oil and gas sector. This will include the preparation of the Control Panel Schematics and Layouts, Package wiring Diagrams / Cable schedules and other contract related documents.
The ideal candidate will be educated to at least HND level (Degree preferable) with a number of years experience as Electrical Design Engineer. Ideally from a power generation background (although appropriate training will be provided, so this is not essential), the client is looking for individuals who are comfortable working under their own initiative as well as being a good team player. You will need to be competent using MS Office, MS Project and AutoCAD. PLC / HMI (Human Machine Interface) Programming knowledge would be advantageous, but again is not essential as appropriate training is provided.
