Design Engineer needed for Sealing department.
Our Client is a global leader in the world of power generation and sets the benchmark for innovative and environmentally friendly technologies.
The company designs, manufactures and supplies state-of-the-art products and systems to the power generation - for gas, coal, and hydro power plants - and industrial markets
Your Role:
Responsible for the design and development of new sealing concepts on gas and steam turbines within the Turbomachines group. Technical support to sealing group on other related projects.
Main Tasks:
Carry out design tasks in support of the seals development programme Develop strong working relationships with Sealing Team members, with internal partners and with external organisations. To propose, plan, and execute seals development projects Deliver within time and budget to meet the needs of its internal partners and internal and external stakeholders To lead tasks and provide expertise in design assessment of new and existing sealing components
Requirements:
Experience in a relevant R&D environment, developing sealing solutions for gas or steam turbine applications would be advantageous Experience of CAD would be an advantage preferably Catia Experience as a project leader beneficial but not essential. Hopefully you will have a degree or equivalent qualification Knowledge of gas or steam turbines, and sealing technology would be advantageous.

Salary Details Salary negotiable (cannot advertise I am sorry so please call to find)
Hours of Work 37 hours per week.(flexi-time)
Holiday Entitlement 25 days per year basic entitlement. Floating bank holidays – agreed annually. Holiday pro-rata during 1st year of employment.
