A vacancy has arisen within our client's Cardiff office for a Senior Modeller to lead a small team of graduates and technicians engaged in providing services to major water industry clients.
You will provide technical support and advice to your team and senior management as and when required and you will also have your own modelling workload which you will be expected to deliver to time and budget.
You will have a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or other appropriate scientific or technical subject, will preferably have or will be close to achieving Chartered status and will preferably have Membership of a relevant institution such as MICE or MCIWEM.
With good relevant sewerage experience and hands-on experience of sewerage computer modelling in connection with drainage area planning and / or urban pollution management, you will be familiar with InfoWorks, HydroWorks or Mouse, whilst MapInfo experience would be advantageous.
Proven ability in the verification of complex hydraulic models and the application of modelling techniques to the development of engineering solutions to sewerage catchment problems is also preferable.
You will be an enthusiastic exponent of hydraulic modelling as a discipline within the sewerage team, will have a high level of computer literacy, will have excellent reporting skills and will have a high level of competence in written English.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £30 - 35,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
