Our client in Cardiff seeks a Principal Civil Engineer to primarily deliver technical solutions to a wide range of clients.
Reporting to the Water Team Leader, your other main duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Co-ordinate project work with multi-disciplinary teams
• Design Management of projects or bids
• Develop innovative technical solutions
• Undertake Technical Reviews of relevant projects
• Act as a mentor to less experienced team members
• Act as a leader in the promotion of, and compliance with, quality, safety and environmental systems
• Play a key role in the development, promotion and implementation of company technical strategies
• Interface with Clients on project technical, commercial and progress matters
• Project reviews incorporating project financial, risk, technical and resource matters
• Line management responsibility for assigned staff
• Ensure capture of key project knowledge
You will have an appropriate first degree or equivalent and will be a member of a relevant professional body (e.g. MICE), whilst MCIWEM status would be desirable.
Extensive experience in the technical delivery of large multi-disciplinary projects in the Water sector is essential and some Design and Build experience would be preferred.
You will be problem solver with a 'can do' attitude and you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to integrate well within a team environment.
Our client will offer an attractive salary, probably in the range of £36 - 45,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
