Structural Engineer (Salary circa £35k - Cardiff)
The candidate will be a qualified or nearly qualified structural engineer responsible for undertaking foundation and structural designs for commercial and domestic buildings, including superstructure, ground beams and rafts. An ability to carry out structural inspections and provide detailed reports is also required.
The candidate will be responsible for undertaking complex aspects of structural/foundation/superstructure detailing and scheduling work for all forms of housing/commercial/industrial buildings and liaising with Clients regarding technical issues when required. The candidate will also have responsibility for assisting with the setting of fee budgets for project planning, quality assurance and meeting deliverability targets including allocation of resources and ensuring that fee budgets are not exceeded.
The candidate must be able to work as part of a team, supervise and support junior staff, check the work of the Engineers and Graduate Engineers/Technicians and ensure successful delegation of work and tasks.
The candidate should hold a full clean UK driving licence.
