Job Summary
My client is looking to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer into their North Wales business. The successful candidate will be able to add structural engineering design flair and expertise within a multi-disciplinary design environment and will lead talented graduates and technician.
Their Building Structures team are currently involved in a number of high profile projects, including new sustainable buildings, hospital buildings and large civil/structural regeneration projects in addition to several school and college projects within the education and local authority sectors.
Responsibilities
Management of small to medium sized projects (up to £15M), or sectors of larger projects, so as to achieve the clients' objectives to cost and programme.
Assistance in the execution of projects with defined design and cost parameters.
Undertaking independent studies and analysis and preparing recommendations and conclusions for formal review by project managers.
Providing technological input and supervise technical input by others within the Structural discipline.
Effectively manage own time.
Assist in the preparation of offers as directed.
Build client relationships and help identify business objectives.
Requirements
A good honours degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Have achieved Chartered Membership of IStructE or ICE
Have significant experience in Building Structures Design and Engineering
Have experience of working successfully with Architects within the UK market
Experience in the design of sustainable buildings
Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
