Our client is looking to strengthen their Building Services team in Cardiff. Reporting to the Building Services Regional Director, you will bring an understanding of the Energy sector to the Building Services team. You should have experience in some or all of the following; assessment of alternative and sustainable energy systems and projects, energy and carbon assessments/audits of building, computational Fluid Dynamics and advanced energy simulation analysis of buildings, experience and familiarity with Code for Sustainable Homes (BREEAM and bespoke assessments, LEED), buildings appraisals with regard to the European Energy Performance Building Directive (EPBD), and Environmental, Energy and Low Carbon Buildings advice. You should also be conversant with low carbon and sustainable technologies. In terms of software skills you should have competence in some or all of the following: IES (should have at least good knowledge of IES 3D modeling environment), Heavacomp, PVSyst, Homer, TAS, Envest II, T*SOL, CARB FM, and RETScreen. In terms of qualifications you should ideally be degree qualified engineer with either a Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical, Energy, Renewable Energy degree and a member of a recognized institute.
